Internet Strategy - Web Presence Strategy
Stage 0 - not on the web - but planning
In Stage 0, your business is not currently represented on the internet with a web page outlining your business. You may or may not have an email presence, with a "generic" Internet Service Provider (AOL, Gmail, Hotmail, or ISP such as Verizon, Time Warner Cable, etc.).
In this stage, you are probably "considering" the benefits of purchasing a domain name (which matches your business). You are probably apprehensive, due to costs, and overall confusion with technology.

- Who is going to maintain it? (Because I don't have the time nor the skills)
- Is it safe and secure ?
- Will it help?
- Do I need to purchase a computer for this website ?

We will not pressure you into contracts, or high monthly expenses. We will not sell you something that is overkill or will not address your concerns or provide the appropriate solution.

- Of course, safe and secure is a tough and debatable topic - How safe is your brick and mortar business from break-in currently? or your home? We do recommend (and apply) the latest security patches, and do code in a secure and "manageable" manner.
- In most cases, a web presence does help - If you use any type of marketing materials (fliers, signs, etc.), you know the cost - and the ratio of return on a flier marketing campaign. By setting up a web presence, you can have a presence 24x7x365 globally! We don't mean to set the expectation that by placing a website on the internet overnight your sales will grow exponentially across the globe - but by targeting audiences, and leveraging SEO techniques, you can improve your sales. Remember, all business comes down to a sound, and properly designed business plan. - Yes, a website could absolutely help.
- It would be helpful for you to have a computer to correspond via email - but, you don't need to purchase a computer to run a website. Note: When we build sites, we use secured Data Centers, with redundant power, (power generators) and high speed data lines. We don't run web servers in basements.
